Analogue

Analogue is defined as a signal that has a continuously and smoothly varying amplitude or frequency.

Analogue is the standard for traditional television broadcasts. These signals vary continuously, and the picture brightness and colour (and accompanying sound) are represented by signals proportional to these values, corresponding to fluctuations in colour or brightness. The values of these signals are vulnerable to interference and noise.
