Native Resolution
Native resolution is the actual number of individual picture elements (pixels) in either a camera or a display device that can be incorporated to make the whole picture.
In this sense, native resolution differs from addressable resolution in that no processing, line doubling or conversion techniques are applied. TVs sets or plasma displays that are rated at a native 720 resolution will upconvert images to fill a 1080 display. Content created at 1080 will look best on 1080 displays.
